Tuition Payment:
Full semester commitments (18 weeks, or pro-rated following trial period) may select one of the following payment options:
One-Payment Option:
One check for total tuition is due in full at time of first lesson
Two-Payment Option:
Two checks, one being post-dated for half-way through the session.  Both checks are due at time of first lesson.

Refunds:
No refund of tuition shall be made except in the instance of prolonged illness of student or relocation to another area.  In either instance, 50% of the pro-rated portion shall be refunded.

Student Cancellations:
Lessons missed due to illness or emergency will be made up ONLY if I am informed 24 hours in advance.  Make-up lessons must be completed in the session in which the absence occurred.  Make-up lessons will not be carried over into the next session.
PLEASE NOTE!!!!  Due to scheduling parameters, each student is allowed only ONE make-up lesson per session.

Teacher Cancellations:
In the event of illness or emergency on my part, all lessons will be made up within the same session, or, if preferred, the appropriate refund will be issued.

Weather:
Lessons missed due to adverse weather conditions cannot be made up.  Molly’s Music Studio will be closed whenever the school district is closed or after-school activities are cancelled due to weather conditions.  If, however, there is some degree of subjectivity regarding the “adverseness” of the weather, I will call to notify lesson status by noon of the questionable day.

Music and Materials:
Tuition charges do not cover the cost of music or books.  Music may be purchased through me (retail cost payable upon receipt of item), or if preferred, I can direct you to the appropriate store/online ordering source.  Students are required to bring a notebook to each lesson.

Student Practice Commitment and Parental Involvement:
Mutually acceptable expectations will be outlined at the beginning of the semester.  If necessary a Practice Contract will be created.  Practice and theory assignments will be recorded in notebook and reviewed at subsequent lesson.  Consistent failure to honor the practice commitment results in a frustrating and unproductive situation for all involved.  Therefore I reserve the right to dismiss any student, without refund, if effort is inadequate over a period of several weeks.  I will, of course, do my best to help create study/practice habits that are productive, satisfying, and fun!

Legal Release:
I waive the right to any legal action consequent to any injury resulting from normal musical education activity at Molly’s Music Studio.  I understand that I am responsible for my child’s well-being before and after actual lesson time and cannot hold Molly’s Music Studio responsible for supervising my child outside of assigned lesson periods.
I have read, understood and agreed to the above policies re my child’s enrollment in Molly’s Music Studio:
